Tattoo Care Classic contains no added fragrance, only the gentle scent of its natural ingredients. Tattoo Care Black Rose, on the other hand, is enriched with a light Aloe Vera fragrance, giving it a fresh and divine aroma. Both deliver the same powerful effectiveness in tattoo aftercare.
The key difference lies in structure and ingredient ratio. Ointments contain a higher concentration of oils (up to 80%) and less water (about 20%), while creams usually have a 50/50 balance. Because of their higher water content, creams spread more easily, are less greasy, and wash off quickly. They mainly protect the outer skin layer.
Ointments, however, go further. They not only create a protective layer on the skin’s surface but also penetrate deeper into the dermis, where your tattoo lies. This means more intensive nourishment, longer-lasting hydration, and better protection. Thanks to their effectiveness and durability, ointments are considered the best choice for keeping your tattoo healthy, vibrant, and moisturized compared to regular creams.
Yes. Tattoo Care ointments are designed for safe use from day one. Developed in collaboration with top pharmacists and professional tattoo artists, they deliver intensive hydration, speed up skin regeneration, soothe irritation, nourish the skin, and reduce redness after tattooing.
Before the first application, gently rinse the fresh tattoo with lukewarm water (without soap) and let it air-dry or pat gently with a paper towel. With clean hands, apply a thin layer of Tattoo Care ointment and repeat at least three times a day until your tattoo is fully healed. Since ointments are thicker than creams, apply by dabbing lightly and allow it to warm up with your body temperature before spreading gently over the tattoo.
Absolutely. All Tattoo Care ointments are dermatologically tested and safe for sensitive skin. For very sensitive skin, we recommend Tattoo Care Classic, which was developed especially for this purpose.
